Question 1

I've never used software for my business. Is this for me?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Auto Detailing Boss is made for owner-operators who run things from their phone. Start with what you do every day: add a client, send a quote, put the job on the calendar, send the invoice. Add clients as you go, or bring them in from a spreadsheet or your Google contacts. Your clients don't need an app; they just tap the link you send. There's no card to start, so if it's not for you, simply stop using it before the 14-day trial ends and you pay nothing.

Question 2

Do I need a card to try it?

Accepted Answer

No. Sign up with your business name, your name, email and a password and you are in right away. The free trial is 14 days. Pick monthly or yearly only if you want to keep going.

Question 3

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Accepted Answer

Yes. It runs in the browser on any phone or computer. On iPhone, open it in Safari and tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. On Android, open it in Chrome and tap Install app. It then opens full screen like a regular app.

Question 4

Can my crew use it? Does each person cost extra?

Accepted Answer

Yes, at no extra charge. The price is the same however many people you add. Give each person a Crew app login (they see only the jobs you put them on, with addresses, notes and photos, and no money unless you allow prices) or an Office login (your company app with only the parts you tick, never Staff, your plan or billing).

Question 5

Can clients pay by card? Who pays the card fees?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Connect your own Stripe account and clients pay by card or bank from the invoice link, with an optional tip. The money goes straight to your Stripe account, and Stripe's normal processing fees come out of it like any Stripe account. Auto Detailing Boss takes no cut. If you like, you can add a card fee of up to 3% that only credit cards pay (never debit cards or bank payments; not allowed in Connecticut or Massachusetts). Zelle, Venmo and Cash App can show on every invoice too.

Question 6

I use Jobber now. How do I switch?

Accepted Answer

In Jobber, export your clients to a CSV file. In Auto Detailing Boss on a computer, open Settings, then Import, and pick the file. Names, emails, phones, addresses and notes are matched for you, and anyone already in the app is skipped. You can bring over unpaid invoices the same way so balances carry over. Past jobs and quotes are not imported.

Question 7

Can I get my data out?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Settings has Download all my data: one .zip of spreadsheet (CSV) files with your clients, properties, jobs, quotes, invoices, payments, expenses, mileage, price book and more. It works even after a trial ends.

Question 8

Can I cancel anytime?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Cancel from Settings. Your plan stays on until the end of the period you paid for. Yearly plans can be refunded in full within 30 days; monthly payments are not refunded.

Question 9

How do I get help?

Accepted Answer

Email support@autodetailingboss.net, or tap Help & support inside the app to message us.
